A journal in which
Simple and stupid alike
Become haiku
Each day in this life
Some small shard of memory
Haiku'd in here
And unless I say
Otherwise, these haiku
I wrote by myself.
(And FYI: three
syllables has "haiku,"
thankyouverymuch)
Welcome to daily_haiku, a journal dedicated to sharing an original haiku a day with anyone who happens to be as crazy about haiku as I am. (Or at least mildly interested in them. I'm not picky.) I'll try to update daily with three brand new haiku, except on Sundays. And what's on Sundays? A surprise. Maybe a new form of haiku, maybe a piece of haiku art, or maybe even some guest haiku. (Duly credited and asked for, of course.)
Before we set out, some guidelines:
1) Haiku ratings can range from fluffy G-rated things to some with cursing or mature themes. When reading, just assume it'll go up PG-13; anything beyond that will be put behind a cut. As amusing as having dirty haiku show up on your friends page might be...
2) Feedback of any sort is appreciated, especially constructive criticism. So long as it's not a flaming OMG U SUk Y U RITE STUPD HAJU aNYWAY??!!?111?!constantinople!, I will be very grateful. Replying to every comment probably won't happen, but I still appreciate any feedback all the same.
3) If you like the poems, please, please friend me! I will try to friend back anyone who friends me. Especially if you're a fellow writer.
4) Whether you like the poems or not, please do not steal, repost, or otherwise reuse any of the haiku. Each one of them (unless otherwise noted) was written exlusively by me and took time and energy to create. I would be flattered to have them used elsewhere, but you need to ask me first. This is not a public domain haiku corner.
I believe that's all I need to say. Onto the haiku.
